The Year of The Monkey 2016

Both are in the Element of (Fire)

With only around 30 days left in the year of the Monkey. 

2016 was a "Year of the Monkey" for sure! 

With Carrier Fisher passing and her mother dying less than 24 hours later. 

I thought I would share this story and prepare you for the year of the "Cock" or "Rooster" in the case of 2017. 

2017 Is a (Fire) Rooster Year

Starting from January 28th, and ending on February 15th, 2018

2016 was the Year of the (Fire) Monkey,  If it could go wrong, it probably did. 

Five Types of Monkey— 2016 was a Fire Monkey Year

Five Elements Theory, each year is associated with Gold, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth. As well as an animal. Monkey years of each element come once in a 60-year cycle with their own characteristics.

2016 was a Fire Monkey year, So if you thought 2016 was a wild ride! We will not see another (Fire) Monkey Year until 2076. But in 2028 is the Year of the Monkey (Earth)

12 Chinese Zodiac animals are in a fixed order Yin and Yang Theory and perceived attributes.

The yin or the yang of the animals is defined based on the odd or even number of their claws (or toes, hoofs). The animals are then arranged in an alternating (complementary) yin-yang sequence.

As the old saying goes, “a thing is valued in proportion to its rarity”, so the Rat ranks first of the 12 zodiac animals. It uniquely combines the attributes of odd (yang) and even (yin). 4+5=9, and yang is dominant, so the Rat is classified as odd (yang) overall.

The time you are born adds greatly to your overall real sign. Person’s personality and life traitsare more decided by his/her birth "hour" rather than birth year only. The zodiac hour method is widely used for character charting and life destiny analysis.

As I'm nearing 600k photographs since I began shooting photos in 1976.

I look back at 30 years ago from today, the day I decided I was going to be "Famous Photographer, Jourdan Zebraa". 

Well, I had seen an ad on MTV the day before, on Dec. 8th. It was promoting Cyndi Lauper's True Colors Tour, Live in Chicago. 

So, that evening I called many of my friends and said "let's try and go to see Cyndi Lauper tomorrow in Chicago, Girrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrls!"

So 3 friends agreed to attend with me. Craig, Peggy and myself  went and picked up one of my BFF's, Danny, from school after lunch for a surprise run to Chicago from St Louis for #CyndiLauper #TrueColorsTour Dec.9th 1986. 

We called ahead to see if any tickets were available. In the hopes that we would still be able to get tickets when we arrived at the Venue at 7PM, when the concert started. 

 The box office woman said first come, first served. So we left St. Louis around noon and it took 5 hours in those days at 55 MPH to get to Chicago from STL. Upon Arrival, we walk up to buy 4 tickets "as close to the stage as you can please" I asked the box office lady. I told her, I work at Ticketmaster in St. Louis (which I did), in the hopes it might better our tickets. 

 Then she slides us 4 tickets, mind you it's just 1 hour before the show. $60 for 4 tickets, $15 a piece. I asked her "where are the seats are located?". The box office woman say's in the crankiest voice I ever heard "These are 2nd Row Center, right in front of the Stage!". "It's your lucky day. Your in luck, these tickets were just turned back in by a radio station that had not given them all away" she said. "Thank You, So Much!" I screamed at the box office lady, running back to the car to tell my friends. OMG 2ND ROW CENTER STAGE, not one of us could believe it! -jzebraa
