2025 Daytime Emmys Winners List

General Hospital dominated the 2025 Daytime Emmy Awards with seven total wins, while Sir David Attenborough broke a record that was set just one year earlier.

Attenborough notably beat Dick Van Dyke’s record as the oldest-ever winner of a Daytime Emmy, which he set at the 2024 show. Dyke was 98 when he won the award, while Attenborough is 99.

General Hospital won the coveted best daytime drama series award and took home the most awards with seven trophies, including best drama actress (Nancy Lee Grahn), best supporting drama actor (Jonathan Jackson) and daytime drama writing.

Ace Frehley, Paul Daniel "Ace" Frehley the original lead guitarist and co-founding member of the rock band KISS, died on October 16, 2025, at the age of 74. Known for his "Spaceman" or "Space Ace" persona, Frehley was instrumental in shaping the band's signature hard rock sound and visual identity.

He invented the persona of The Spaceman (a.k.a. Space Ace) and originally played with the group from its inception in 1973 until his departure

After leaving Kiss, Frehley formed his own band named Frehley's Comet and released two albums with the group. He subsequently embarked on a solo career, which was put on hold when he rejoined Kiss in 1996 for a highly successful reunion tour.

Origin: The song was originally written by Russ Ballard and performed by the British band Hello. Success: Frehley's cover became the highest-charting hit from his 1978 solo album, which was the most commercially successful of the four KISS solo albums released that year. Legacy:

"New York Groove" is now considered Ace Frehley's signature song and has become an unofficial anthem celebrating New York. It has been used in various media, including a 2021 ad campaign for New York after the COVID-19 pandemic..
