Rare red northern lights may be visible alongside red moon during Aug. 27 lunar eclipse

The full moon is expected to slide into Earth's shadow tonight (Aug. 27-28), casting an eerie red glow over 96% of the lunar surface. At the same time, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has issued a moderate (G2) geomagnetic storm warning for 9:03 p.m. EDT (1303 GMT) Thursday night (Aug. 27) — 20 minutes before the eclipse starts. According to NOAA, the resulting auroras may be visible over several states, ranging from New York to Idaho.

Yayoi Kusama, one of the world’s most celebrated and best-selling artists, has died age 97, according to a statement on the artist’s official website.

Kusama was, by the time of her death, one of contemporary art’s most popular and commercially successful figures. Her famous “Infinity Mirror Rooms,” large-scale installations that immersed audiences in endlessly repeating reflections of color and light, attracted millions of gallery visitors.

Her distinctive pumpkin sculptures and polka-dot paintings, meanwhile, generated millions of dollars in auction revenue.

But the global recognition of her work in later years was made all the more remarkable by the difficulties she overcame to achieve it, namely childhood trauma, mental illness and years of relative obscurity.

We went to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show in 1985 for the 10th year anniversary of the movie!
I love of all the songs, my friend Danny was Frank N Furter for a few years in St Louis Missouri every Friday and Saturday Night from 1986 to 1989, I was there in my underwear as Brad extra!
